GETTING OLDER
I don't know much but I've been told
Getting old growing cold
I put a sweater on to increase the heat
But I can't feel the toes at the end of my feet
I don't know much but what I've seen
Gasoline, putting green
My days are long but my years are few
Buy a house on the beach with a barbecue
I don't mind being on my own
I ain't afraid of the great unknown
Don't look up don't look back
Make up my mind with the crack of the bat
If I look lost walking down the street
Check my pulse for the drummer's beat
I'll tell you this fact and this is true
I'm getting older and I can see
You're getting older too
I don't know much but what I hear
Another year disappears
Get a movie camera just to catch it all
But I'm too busy taking my Geritol
I
don't know much but what I read
Bachelorette beauty queen
THose are the days that I'm thinking about
But all of this thinking is just tiring me out
I see the signs everywhere
I'm losing my sight losing my hair
If I stay too long I might mummify
I've done a lot through the years
But let me make this crystal clear
I ain't checking out without a fight
I don't know much but this I know
Rockin' chair driving slow
As long as I got air to breathe
I'll rock on 'till I fall asleep
